Nigerian Army Dismisses Soldiers Who Robbed Dangote Refinery



On Monday, the Nigerian Army announced the dismissal of two soldiers, Corporal Innocent Joseph and Lance Corporal Jacob Gani, for their involvement in the theft of armoured cables at the Dangote refinery on April 14, 2024.

According to The PUNCH, the soldiers were apprehended at the company's main gate while attempting to leave in an Acura jeep, carrying 897 armoured cables that had been cut to size.
Following their arrest, the military authorities took over the case and conducted a thorough investigation before officially announcing the dismissal of the two military officers on Monday.

No further details regarding the execution and judgment of the case have been made public.
