North Korea Announce Its First Nuclear Counterattack Drills

North Korea conducted its inaugural nuclear counterattack exercises on Monday, as reported by the state-owned Korean Central News Agency on Tuesday.

Leader Kim Jong Un oversaw the drills involving the nuclear weapons management and control system, referred to as the "nuclear trigger."

The exercises featured the launch of numerous "super-large" artillery rockets equipped with simulated nuclear warheads from various rocket launcher units.

According to KCNA, the rockets traveled approximately 352 kilometers and successfully struck an island target, with Kim expressing his "satisfaction" with the outcomes.

South Korean and Japanese military authorities independently verified on Monday that North Korea had launched multiple short-range ballistic missiles into the waters off the east coast of the peninsula.
