Satellite images captured on Monday indicate that Israel carried out a retaliatory strike targeting a radar system for a Russian-made air defense battery in Iran's central city of Isfahan.
Despite Tehran's repeated denials of any damage caused by the attack, the photos suggest otherwise.
According to VOA, the strike on the S-300 radar system, although limited, inflicted more damage compared to the drone-and-missile attack Iran launched against Israel on April 13.
This could explain why Iranian officials, including Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, have been avoiding discussions about the actual impact of the Israeli attack on Iranian territory.
