Western Nations Urge Hamas To Release Israeli Hostages 200 Days After Abduction

The Western diplomats are urging Hamas to release the remaining hostages it is holding in the Gaza Strip in order to restore peace to the region.

The ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas has resulted in displaced Palestinians seeking shelter in a UNRWA-affiliated school.

British Foreign Secretary David Cameron stated on X, that 200 days ago, Hamas perpetrated the most lethal assault on the Jewish community since the Holocaust. As of today, hostages are still being held captive, causing immense anguish for their families.

German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock also emphasized that they will continue their efforts until the hostages are released, stating that peace can only be achieved once they are safely back home.
The Western nations recognize the suffering of those affected by the conflict and emphasize the importance of the hostages' release for the restoration of peace.
