Meet The Labrador Dog That Sniff And Detects Her Owner Breast Cancer

It is well known that dogs are men's best friend, but some dogs can be so exceptional that people may tagged them as heros as a result of their heroism acts. We've heard cases were dogs have to fight dangerous wild animals to save children and their owners.
This is the case of the this Labrador Dog that detected breast cancer of his owner and also saving her life. Claire Guest lives with her 3 dogs in a little town of Milton Keynes. She is so fun of these dogs that most times, she will always want to go out with them.

In one of Claire outing with her  Dogs, something remarkable happened that she initially did not took serious. According to Daily Mail, " After opening the boot of her car, Claire Guest expected her three dogs to jump out and dash off on their walk as they usually did." "But while two did just that, the third - Daisy the labrador - stayed put, staring intently at her owner before nudging her gently in the chest over and over again."

Claire thought nothing of it and shooed the fox red lab out of the car. But as they walked along, something made her feel the spot her adored dog had been touching...and there was a lump.

Doctors soon confirmed it was breast cancer: a tumour so deep-seated and aggressive, it probably wouldn't have been spotted until it was too late. But thanks to Daisy's early warning, the then 45-year-old Claire, from Milton Keynes, was able to undergo surgery and radiotherapy to save her life.

Nowadays we know that dogs' superior sense of smell can detect all kinds of illnesses, but when this happened in 2008, it was very different.

Many simply dismissed the idea as mumbo-jumbo. Incredibly, it was Daisy's detection work that day that helped convince the sceptics that not only does disease have a smell, but that dogs can identify it, too.

Over the years, news of dogs rescuing people from all manner of dangers have been on the internet , but detecting deseases such as cancer is very rare. The Labrador has shown that more can be achieved when pets like dogs.
