A 22-year-old Nigerian woman, Fasia Ajoke, received a sentence of seven months and three weeks in prison from the Special Offences Court at Bolade-Oshodi, Lagos State, for attacking a female officer of the Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Corps while she was on duty.

The Commissioner for the Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, shared this information on his social media account on Thursday. Wahab mentioned that Ajoke was also found guilty of resisting arrest and ignoring the pedestrian bridge, which is against the Law of the State.

He emphasized, "We urge all law-abiding Lagosians to avoid assaulting our environmental officers and to utilize pedestrian bridges as the state will take legal action against anyone caught violating the law." Earlier this week,
