Late Nollywood Makeup Artist, Abigail Frederick Buried In Her Home Town After Body Was Exhumed From River Bank

Late  Nollywood makeup artist, Abigail Frederick, was laid to rest in her hometown of Ikot Udoma, Eket Local Government Area in Akwa Ibom State on Monday

She was one of the five film practitioners, including Junior Pope, who tragically lost their lives in a boat accident on the River Niger last week.

The Akwa Ibom State Governor, Umo Eno, had instructed that her body be brought back to the state for a proper burial after she was initially buried by the riverbank.
The residents of River Niger had declined to release her body until the conditions for the sacrifice were fulfilled, or else she would be laid to rest on the river bank as custom demans.

She was buried in the presence of her father, which was believed  the deity's requirements had not been satisfied. It was only when the governor intervened that the situation changed.

Following the governor's directive, her body was exhumed on Sunday, April 14. A candle-light procession was also held in her honor.
According to the PUCH, the funeral service, conducted by the Church of Christ in Ikot Udoma, was attended by various dignitaries, including the Eket Transition Committee Chairman, Akaniyene Tommey, Commissioner for Tourism, Charles Udoh, SA on Entertainment, Moses Eskor, Godfada Uko, members of the Eket Transition Committee, Nollywood actress, Eve Esin, the Nollywood community, friends, and sympathizers.
