Lioness In A Fierce Battle Lost Her Tooth To Protect Her Cub

 

The jungle is a place where only the strongest survive, with powerful animals dominating territories and ruling over the weaker ones. 

The weaker animals, however, have developed strong defensive features to protect themselves from the dominating predators.

The young offspring of these animals are often shielded by their mothers, who are willing to fight to the death to ensure their survival. 

Photographer Mark Dumbleton captured a powerful image of a female lion who had lost a tooth in a fierce battle with a predator, all in an effort to protect her young. Despite the blood on her face, she embraced her cub, showing the extent of a mother's sacrifice.

Although little Ali may not fully understand his mother's suffering now, he will come to realize the sacrifices she made for him as he grows up and takes on the responsibility of protecting the herd.
