Government Imposed 24-Hour Curfew Following Deadly Bomb Blast



Authorities in Borno state, Nigeria, have reported that a bomb explosion at a well-frequented tea house late Wednesday resulted in the deaths of 19 People and left at least 20 others injured. This incident marks the second significant attack in recent weeks.

According to security and government officials, the explosion took place around 8 PM local time in Kawuri village, situated approximately 50 kilometers from Maiduguri, the capital of Borno state, where the injured were subsequently transported for medical care.

In response to this tragic event, the Borno State government has enacted a 24-hour curfew following the deadly blast. 

The incident unfolded in a market within the Kawori community, part of the Konduga Local Government Area (LGA), which is roughly 50 kilometers from Maiduguri.

A statement issued by the Borno Police command on Thursday reassured the public that the state government is committed to taking all necessary measures to restore peace and stability in the area.
