Russian Strike Hits Kharkiv, Injures at Least 13, Officials Report

A Russian aerial strike targeted Kharkiv, Ukraine’s second-largest city, on Sunday, injuring at least 13 people, according to local authorities. Surveillance footage captured the moment of impact, showing significant destruction as the strike hit the city, which lies close to the Russian border.
According to VOA, the attack is part of ongoing hostilities that have plagued the region, with Kharkiv frequently facing bombardments since the escalation of the conflict. Local officials confirmed on Monday that the injuries resulted from a series of aerial assaults, marking another day of violence in the city.

Emergency response teams have been working to assess the extent of the damage and provide medical care to the injured. Ukrainian authorities condemned the latest strike, calling it a "deliberate attack on civilians and infrastructure." The ongoing conflict has strained Kharkiv’s healthcare resources, as many residents continue to live under the constant threat of attacks.

This latest assault shows  the continued volatility of the region, as peace remains elusive. Ukraine and international allies continue to call for an end to the attacks as diplomatic efforts struggle to find a resolution.
