95-Year-Old Retired Actress, Known for Roles in The Ten Commandments and The Blues Brothers, Dies in Altadena House Fire

A tragic fire claimed the life of a 95-year-old retired actress known for her roles in cinematic classics such as The Ten Commandments (1956) and The Blues Brothers (1980).
The fire broke out on Friday evening in the actress's Altadena residence, leaving neighbors and fans mourning her loss.

According to the Los Angeles County Fire Department, emergency crews responded to a report of a house fire on the 2400 block of Holliston Avenue at approximately 11:30 p.m. The blaze was reported to have engulfed much of the single-story home by the time firefighters arrived. Despite their efforts to extinguish the fire and rescue anyone trapped inside, the actress was pronounced dead at the scene. Her identity has not yet been officially released, pending notification of next of kin.
