Businesswoman Finds Creative Way to Teach Children Financial Lessons at Home

A resourceful businesswoman has sparked conversation after sharing an unconventional yet humorous approach to teaching her children financial literacy.

The woman, who chose to remain anonymous, revealed how she cleverly turns her home into a makeshift store to reclaim money given to her children by their father or visitors.

The story unfolds with her children receiving gifts of money from their father or visiting guests, often declining to share the funds with her. In response, she devised a playful strategy that doubles as a business lesson. She takes the provisions, biscuits, drinks, and sweets their father bought for them and sells these items back to the children at significantly marked-up prices.

In her words, “My children thought they were smart. As a businesswoman, I sell inside my house. Anytime their daddy or visitors give them money and they refuse to give me, I bring out provisions and sell them at a much higher price to collect the money from them. They have forgotten that they met me in this world.”
