I Will Go Home After Service on a Sunday’: Pastor Adeboye Reveals Peaceful End-Time Vision

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, has once again spoken about a personal revelation concerning his eventual passing, expressing certainty about the time, day, and manner in which it will occur.

Speaking during a recent church gathering, Pastor Adeboye said he believes his departure from this world will take place on a Sunday, shortly after concluding a worship service and enjoying his favourite meal—pounded yam. According to the respected cleric, this vision has been consistent in his spirit for many years, and he regards it as a divine insight into the peaceful nature of his transition.

Pastor Adeboye, who has led RCCG for over four decades, is widely known for his humility, devotion to God, and his practice of combining spiritual messages with personal testimonies. Reported by those present at the service, the revered pastor described the scene as one of tranquillity and fulfilment, noting that he expects to be surrounded by an atmosphere of worship and gratitude when the moment comes.

While the pastor did not indicate that this event is imminent, his words have sparked widespread reflection among members of the church and the Christian community at large. Many congregants see his statement as an affirmation of his deep faith and his readiness for eternity, rather than a cause for concern.

According to long-time RCCG members, Pastor Adeboye has occasionally shared glimpses of his personal visions, often with the aim of inspiring believers to live a life of readiness, integrity, and closeness to God. His latest reiteration of this vision, they say, serves as a reminder of the Christian belief that death is not an end but a transition to eternal life.

Despite the sensitive nature of the topic, reactions from church members have been largely positive. “It shows he is at peace with God and with his journey,” one congregant shared, adding that it also encourages others to prepare their own hearts and live purposefully.

Pastor Adeboye remains active in his ministerial duties, travelling worldwide to preach the gospel, lead crusades, and oversee RCCG’s vast network of parishes. For him, as reported by those close to him, the focus remains on fulfilling his divine mandate until that Sunday he envisions finally arrives.
