President Erdoğan Hosts Super Lig Champions Galatasaray Led by Nigerian Star

 

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on Monday officially received Turkish Super Lig champions Galatasaray following the club’s successful title-winning campaign, according to reports published on the club’s official website.


The reception, which took place in Ankara, celebrated Galatasaray’s remarkable season in the Turkish top flight as the club secured another domestic league triumph. President Erdoğan congratulated the players, coaching staff, and club executives for their achievements and praised the team for bringing pride and joy to millions of supporters across Turkey.

Among the players highlighted during the presidential reception was Nigerian forward Victor Osimhen, whose outstanding performances throughout the season played a major role in Galatasaray’s championship success. According to the official Galatasaray website, Osimhen’s goalscoring form and attacking influence were instrumental in helping the Istanbul giants maintain dominance in the league race.


The Nigerian international, popularly described by fans as a “bomber” for his lethal finishing ability in front of goal, has continued to attract global attention with his impressive displays in Turkish football. Reports on the Galatasaray platform noted that the striker received warm recognition during the presidential meeting alongside other members of the squad.
