Former Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff Hospitalized in China for Vestibular Neuritis

Former President of Brazil, Dilma Rousseff, has been hospitalized in Shanghai due to a medical condition known as vestibular neuritis, a condition that affects the nerve responsible for balance. Rousseff, who currently serves as the president of the New Development Bank (NDB), was admitted to a hospital in Shanghai after experiencing symptoms linked to the inflammation of the vestibular nerve. Vestibular neuritis is a disorder that can cause dizziness, vertigo, nausea, and difficulties with balance, often resulting from a viral infection. The 76-year-old former leader has been residing in China since assuming her role as the head of the NDB, also known as the BRICS Bank, in March 2023.
