A driver named Azeez Babatunde was apprehended by policemen from the Maroko Division of the Lagos State Police Command in the early hours of Thursday.
According to The PUNCH, the officers noticed a minibus making a sudden u-turn upon spotting them on Hakeem Dickson Street during their anti-crime patrol.
Pursuing the vehicle, they managed to catch up with it after six individuals fled in different directions. The driver, Azeez Babatunde, was the only person left in the minibus and was subsequently arrested.
A search of the vehicle resulted in the discovery of two locally-made pistols, two unexpended cartridges, and a knife.
The investigation is currently ongoing, as stated by SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the command's Public Relations Officer, in a statement released on Thursday.
