Russian Cities Hit By A Devastating Flood Forcing Thousands To Flee For Safety

Some Cities in Russia has been hit by a devastating flood, forcing thousands of residents to flee for their safety.
According to VOA, the situation has become so severe that the government has declared a federal emergency in the flood-affected areas of the Orenburg region. In addition, preparations are underway in three other regions to mitigate the potential impact of flooding. The rising water levels in the Ural River have caused over 4,000 people, including 885 children, to evacuate from the Orenburg region. Tragically, approximately 2,000 homes have been flooded, resulting in a total of nearly 6,300 affected residences in the region.
The regional government has estimated the damage caused by the flood to be around 21 billion rubles ($227 million). To address the crisis, Russia's Emergency Situations Minister, Alexander Kurenkov, has arrived in Orsk, one of the hardest-hit cities, to oversee the ongoing rescue operations.
