Two Military Personnel Apprehended For Allegedly Vandalizing And Stealing Armored Cables At A Refinery In Lagos

Two military personnel, CPL Innocent Joseph and L/CPL Jacob Gani, were apprehended on April 14 for their alleged involvement in the theft and vandalism of armoured cables at the Dangote Refinery in Lagos.

The suspects were caught leaving the facility with 897 armoured cables that had been cut to size.

A military signal obtained by SaharaReporters detailed the incident, stating that the soldiers arrived at the facility in an Acura jeep with registration number LAGOS JJJ 594 HS.

Upon attempting to exit the DFL main gate, they were discovered with the stolen cables. Following their confession that they obtained the cables with the assistance of an individual named Smart, who is currently at large, the vehicle and evidence were seized.

The soldiers have been detained, and the investigation is ongoing with the involvement of the OC Army.
