Moment Giant Monster Crocodile That Prey On Humans Was Hunt Down

It was moment of celebration when a giant monster Crocodile was hunted down by a hunter, Garret Wales, in Savé Valley of Zimbabwe on September, 2022.

Garrett who lives in Texas, United State, traveled down to Zimbabwe after he was informed about a gainted crocodile that was attacking and preying on locals at the Savé Valley. After arriving in the country, he went on a 10-days trip to Savé Valley to search for the giant monster. Savé Valley which is located in the South Eastern lowveld of Zimbabwe, bordering on the Save River on its eastern side, the Conservancy comprises 750,000 acres of diverse wildlife. The Save River which is also linked to the Nile River, sometimes accommodate giants crocodiles that migrates from the Nile.

According to Newspaper World, for 5 days in a row, Garrett hunted for the giant beast everywhere, until he found it hidden in a bound of reeds. Garrett went close to the crocodile and shot it dead with a rifle. After the killing, it took 9 people to move the Crocodile weight 450 kg, almost the weight of 9 bags of cement and and about 15 feet long.

Garrett who have strong passion for hunting fresh water crocodile says after the killing, "the five-day hunt was special for special reasons—from overcoming his fear in close quarters with such dangerous game to seeing the local villagers celebrate his kill". “I’ve hunted all my life and I’ve never experienced anything like it,” he says. “It was as insane as it gets in the hunting world.”

Despite receiving praise from locals for his courage and kindness in killing the monster without fear of danger. Gerret was heavily criticized by the  National Conservations, with the government also reacting, because of the ban on hunting wild animals.

Nile Crocodiles are the largest fresh water crocodile in the world, and can be found in 12 African countries that Nile River flows through. According to National Geographic, Nile Crocodiles can grow up to 20 feet and 1,650 pounds. Some 200 people are estimated to die from fatal crocodile attacks in Africa each year. Most crocodile hunting takes place in central and southern Africa, where hunting fees play an important role in wildlife conservation.
