During an annual military parade on the outskirts of Tehran, Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi issued a stern warning to Israel, cautioning against any retaliatory actions following Iran's unprecedented aerial attack on the Jewish state.
According to VOA, Raisi emphasized that Iran would respond with a "massive and severe" retaliation if Israel were to take any aggressive measures.
This statement comes in response to Israel's defense minister dismissing Iranian threats and asserting that they would not deter an Israeli response. Meanwhile, diplomats are actively working towards de-escalating the situation.
British Foreign Secretary David Cameron, who visited Jerusalem, acknowledged Israel's decision to take action and expressed hope that their response would minimize further escalation.
Cameron, after meeting with Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz, also voiced support for implementing coordinated sanctions against Iran.
As the Group of Seven leading industrial nations prepared for talks in Italy, Cameron emphasized the need for a united front to send a clear and unequivocal message to Iran, highlighting their involvement in supporting groups like Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Houthis in the region.
