Man Who Set Self On Fire Outside Trump Trial Venue Has Been Identified By New York Police

The man who ignited himself outside the Manhattan court where Donald Trump is on trial has been identified as 37-year-old Max Azzarello from Florida, according to the New York Police Department.

In a video posted by Chief White House correspondent Simon Oteba on Friday, NYPD Chief Jeffrey B. Maddorey revealed that Azzarello worked as an investigative researcher.

Another video circulating online captures Azzarello's plea for attention to what he perceived as a fascist coup, advocating for a revolution.

The incident took place in a park across from the 100 Centre Street courthouse, a location frequently used by authorities to manage both pro-Trump and anti-Trump demonstrators, as well as members of the media.
