Omobayo Godwins has officially assumed the role of Edo Deputy Governor, following the impeachment of Philip Shaibu by the state house of assembly.
The 38-year-old, radiating with joy, was sworn in at approximately 1:40 pm on Monday by Chief Judge of Edo State, Justice Daniel Okungbowa.
This momentous occasion took place at the Edo State Government House in Benin City, marking a significant milestone in the political history of the state.
After taking the oath of office, an elated Omobayo, adorned in a white kaftan and a matching red native cap, was warmly received by an enthusiastic crowd in one of the halls at the Government House.
Omobayo Godwins is an active member of both the Nigerian Society of Engineers and the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria.
Prior to his recent role, he gained valuable experience as a Senior Maintenance Engineer at Dresser Wayne West Africa Limited, where he honed his skills in the South-South region, delivering exceptional services and expanding the company's presence in the area.
