Ukrainian President ConveysHis Gratitude To The United States For Approving Military Aid Bill For Ukraine

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy expressed his appreciation on Saturday for the approval of a military aid bill by the U.S. House of Representatives.

According to VOA, He emphasized that this assistance would not only save lives but also bring a just resolution to the ongoing war with Russia.

The legislation encompasses a total of $61 billion allocated for Kyiv's efforts against Moscow's invasion, along with $26 billion for Israel and humanitarian aid for civilians residing in conflict zones such as Gaza. Additionally, $8 billion has been designated for the Indo-Pacific region.

To ensure the smooth passage of the bills, House Speaker Mike Johnson, a Republican from Louisiana, devised a strategy to combine them into a single bill once each one receives approval.

This approach aims to prevent any opposition to a specific component from jeopardizing the entire agreement.

President Joe Biden commended the bipartisan effort in the House, stating that it advances the national security interests of the United States and sends a resolute message about the strength of American leadership on the global stage.

He emphasized the significance of this legislation in addressing the current critical juncture and acknowledged the months of dedicated advocacy to secure its passage.
