UTME 2024 - JAMB Apprehend Father Caught Writing Exam For His Son

A father has been apprehended for taking the 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) on behalf of his son.

Professor Ishaq Oloyede, the registrar of the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB), revealed this information during his visit to Computer Based Test (CBT) centers in Kaduna state on April 24th.

Expressing his disappointment, Oloyede condemned the actions of those who cheat and impersonate others during exams. He also expressed concern about the parenting practices in today's generation.  He envisioned the father's words to his son in the event of their confinement within the same cell.

The JAMB registrar emphasized that the board has taken proactive measures to stay ahead of impersonators.

He also made it known  that Jamb has taken all necessary measures to ensure that all CBT centers meet the required standards.

Oloyede further stated that the majority of the 775 centers across the country met the required standards, with only a few experiencing issues due to inadequate preparation.
