Kind-hearted Lady Returns Lost Wallet Containing Money To Its Rightful Owner

An unidentified lady discovered a wallet containing money on the ground and made the decision to return it to its rightful owner. She stumbled upon the wallet near the entrance of her residential area at Omole Phase 1 early on Thursday morning.  To return the wallet, she extracted the ATM  and identification card she found inside and headed to the bank in an effort to contact the owner. Despite numerous attempts by the bank to reach the owner, they were unsuccessful. Consequently, the bank opted to return the wallet to the lady due to the presence of a significant amount of money and personal documents inside the wallet. Subsequently, she shared the ID card she discovered in the lost wallet on a popular WhatsApp group of her locality called InsideOjodu.  The group's administrator then posted a notice regarding the discovery on the group. EFCC Drops Case Against Yahaya Bello At The Appeal Court

The EFCC has submitted a request to the Court of Appeal in Abuja to withdraw the appeal it had previously filed to overturn the interim injunction preventing the arrest of former Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State for trial.  According to DailyTrust, in its notice of discontinuance, dated April 22, the anti-graft agency stated that it decided to terminate further proceedings on the appeal because the initial order made by a Kogi State High Court in favor of the former governor is no longer applicable.  Additionally, the Commission acknowledged that the appeal was filed outside the allowed time frame according to the law.  The EFCC's filing before the appellate court stated that it intends to wholly withdraw the appeal against the respondent, citing the fact that the application filed by the appellant was overtaken by the decision of the same high court on April 17, 2024.  The court had issued ex parte orders on February 9, 2024, which were meant to last ...

Owner Of Chinese Supermarket In Abuja Appears Before FCCPC

 Liu Bei, the owner of the Chinese supermarket in Abuja, which was sealed for refusing Nigerians entry, has now appeared before a tribunal at the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC).  According to PUNCH, this development comes after the FCCPC issued a summons notice and threatened sanctions against the store.  In an update, the FCCPC stated that the owners of the supermarket responded to the summons and underwent questioning regarding the allegations of discriminatory practices.  The FCCPC also conducted an inspection of the facility.
