Child Custody Dispute Delayed As Popular Skit Maker Failed To Show Up In Court

The child custody proceedings between Queen Oyekanmi and Promise Anagbogu, also known as Lord Lamba, have been adjourned to July 18, 2024 for hearing by a Magistrate Court in Ogba, Lagos State.  This adjournment comes as Lord Lamba, the skitmaker, failed to appear in court. It was reported that his lawyer, who was also absent, sent a representative who expressed ignorance about the skitmaker's absence. Queen, a reality TV star, and Lord Lamba had a daughter together on December 25, 2022. In March 2024, Queen got married to her husband, David. Around the same time, Lord Lamba took her to court regarding the custody of their daughter. According to a source who spoke with Instablog9ja on Thursday, Queen was present in court for the hearing, but Lord Lamba did not show up. Instead, his assistant represented him as his lawyer was absent. As a result, the court granted the lawyer's request for a new date, and the hearing was adjourned to July 18th.

Ten injured, As Boeing 737 Plane Carrying 85 People Skidded Off A Runway In Senegal

Senegalese Transport Minister El Malick Ndiaye reported that a Boeing 737 aircraft with 85 people on board veered off the runway at Dakar's airport, the capital of Senegal, resulting in injuries to 10 people.  The flight, operated by TransAir for Air Sénégal, was en route to Bamako on Wednesday night, carrying 79 passengers, two pilots, and four cabin crew members.  The injured individuals are currently receiving medical treatment at a hospital, while the rest have been accommodated at a nearby hotel for rest and recovery.  Further information regarding the incident is not yet available.

Death Toll Climbs To 9, As Rescuers Search For Survival in South Africa Building Collapse

Rescue teams continue to search the location of a building collapse in George, South Africa, on May 9, 2024.  As of Friday, hopes were diminishing for the 44 construction workers trapped under the debris for several days. Authorities mentioned that the rescue operation is now confronted with the task of clearing thousands of tons of concrete using heavy machinery to determine if there are any additional survivors.  According to VOA, the death toll has climbed to nine after a worker in critical condition passed away in the hospital, as per officials.  Out of the 28 workers who were saved from the scene, 21 are in critical condition or have sustained life-threatening injuries as a result of the collapse of the five-story apartment building that was still under construction on Monday.

A young wildlife photographer, Ben Pulletz, has achieved a remarkable feat as his photograph of two blackbirds "kissing" has been chosen to be turned into a card and sold in Co-op supermarkets.  The 21-year-old photographer, who resides in Somerset, captured a series of stunning images showcasing animals and nature in his local surroundings. These included a rabbit in a meadow, a grasshopper, a great tit perched among rose hips, and a picturesque field of daisies. For years, Pulletz has been tirelessly pursuing the perfect wildlife photographs, never imagining that a national chain would take an interest in his work. He expressed his delight, particularly regarding the use of his daisy photograph, which happens to be his mother's favorite. The cards featuring Pulletz's captivating images will be launched in 1,300 Co-op stores, and as a gesture of support for wildlife conservation, the Co-op will donate £10,000 to the RSPB (Royal Society for the Protection ...
