Guinness World Record - Onakoya Receives A Warm Welcome Upon Arrival In Nigeria

Onakoya, the new Chess Guinness World record holder, has received a warm welcome upon arrival in Nigeria, including singing and dancing at the airport.

Tunde Onakoya, the founder of Chess-in-Slums, recently achieved a remarkable feat by surpassing the world record for the longest-ever chess marathon. After an impressive 60 hours of continuous play, he received a heartwarming welcome upon his return to Nigeria on Wednesday.

At the airport, Onakoya was greeted with a warm reception that included singing and dancing, creating a truly joyous atmosphere.

His achievement surpassed the previous record set by Norwegian players, Hallvard Haug Flatebø and Sjur Ferkingstad, who played for 56 hours and 9 minutes in 2018.

Onakoya's main objective in attempting this record was to raise funds and awareness for providing educational opportunities to underprivileged children across Africa, as posted on ChannelsTv X page .
