Israel Demans Iran Be Sanctioned By United Nations For Missile Attack

Israel has called on the U.N. Security Council to take immediate action in response to Iran's recent military strike on Israel. 

In a statement to the Security Council, Israel's U.N. envoy, Gilad Erdan, urged the council to condemn Iran for its acts of terror and to implement measures such as reimposing sanctions and designating the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps as a terror organization.

According to VOA, Israel emphasized the urgency of the situation, stating that action must be taken not only for Israel's sake or the region's sake, but for the sake of the entire world. 

Israel has also requested an emergency meeting to address the direct attack it experienced, which involved numerous armed drones, ballistic missiles, and cruise missiles.

 Israel claims that its air defenses, along with those of the United States and other allies, successfully intercepted and destroyed 99% of the incoming projectiles fired by Iran.
