Police officials in Karachi, Pakistan reported that a van carrying five Japanese autoworkers was targeted by two suicide bombers, but fortunately, all individuals managed to escape unharmed.
The incident took place as the autoworkers were en route to an industrial zone in the city early in the morning as reported by VOA.
According to Azfar Mahesar, a senior police officer, one of the attackers detonated himself near the van while the other opened fire.
The security guards accompanying the Japanese workers retaliated, resulting in the death of one of the bombers.
The remains of the suicide bomber were recovered at the scene, and investigations are ongoing to identify both perpetrators.
